A Berks County man was fatally injured Wednesday when riding a lawn mower that went over a retaining wall on a property in Maidencreek Township.
Jeffrey Brobst, 69, of Albany Township was mowing in the 100 block of Hecktown Road in Maidencreek at 10:30 a.m. when the mower went over the wall, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said Friday. Brobst was taken by Northern Berks EMS to Reading Hospital, where a physician pronounced him dead at 2:46 p.m.
Brobst died of craniocerebral injuries, and the death was ruled accidental, the coroner said.
Northern Berks Regional Police assisted in the investigation.
