The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Florida Everblades will be AHL and ECHL affiliates, and the Penguins brought back a Florida fan favorite. They announced goalie Cam Johnson to an AHL contract. That doesn’t mean he won’t be in Florida next season, as he’s been on AHL contracts before. Johnson, in 49 games for Florida last season, went 31-9-9. He posted a 1.84 goals-against average, a .923 save percentage, and three shutouts. Johnson, in the playoffs, went 16-3-1 with a 1.88 goals-against average, a .923 save percentage, and three shutouts, which led to him being named MVP.

Johnson, in 53 AHL games, is 18-25-8 with a 3.59 goals-against average, an .876 save percentage, and a shutout. He has played in 253 ECHL games, going 154-64-19-11. He has a 2.22 goals-against average, a .918 save percentage, and 20 shutouts. In 98 career Kelly Cup Playoff games, he’s 73-20-5 with a 1.92 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage, and 16 shutouts. Johnson won the June M. Kelly for MVP in the playoffs in 2026, 2023, and 2022. In 2022, in 18 games, he went 15-2-1 with a 1.90 goals-against average, a .931 save percentage, and four shutouts. In 2023, in 22 games, he went 16-6-0 with a 2.10 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage, and four shutouts.
