SCOTT TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — As Lakeland Orchard and Cidery’s monthlong Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival wraps up this weekend, the seasonal attraction is turning its attention to another late-summer festival, Blooms & Berries.
Blues, Brews, & BBQ runs through Sunday, July 26. The festival features barbecue selections, local beer, live bluegrass music, lumberjack competitions and pick-your-own blueberries while supplies last.
Blooms & Berries festival begins Thursday, July 30, and runs through Aug. 30. The festival will feature pick-your-own blackberries and raspberries, along with cut-your-own flowers, a butterfly garden, rides, attractions and live music on weekends.
The orchard had already begun offering sunflower picking to the public nearly a week ahead of the festival’s official opening.
Tracy Carey, assistant general manager of Lakeland Orchard and Cidery, said each festival brings a different mix of activities, food and entertainment to the property, keeping the experience fresh for returning visitors.
“So our next festival is Blooms and Berries, which will feature our butterfly house. We’ll also have sunflower and zinnia picking, which is always a great time. We see a lot of beautiful flowers floating around throughout the orchard. I think the community really embraces having a family-run business like this,” said Carey.
Blooms & Berries will also include rotating seasonal foods and a tasting passport featuring festival-specific items. A charity dunk tank is planned for Aug. 8 and 9, with proceeds benefiting a local food pantry, and a craft event featuring vendors is scheduled for Aug. 22.
Lakeland Orchard and Cidery’s summer festivals are part of a broader 2026 lineup of seasonal events. Earlier offerings included the Tulip Festival, Baby Animal Days and the Strawberry Festival. The Apple Harvest Festival and Halloween Light Show are scheduled for later this year.
Visitors can find current picking conditions, festival schedules, entertainment listings, attraction information and admission details on the orchard and cidery’s website.
