ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Reading took on Allentown Central Catholic and Hamburg took on Catasauqua during day two of the A-Town Throwdown taking place at Cedar Beach Park.
ACC and Reading went into double-overtime thanks to a Yolanda Velez game-tying bucket at the end of regulation. Nyla Nunez got the game-winning basket in sudden death for Reading, defeating Allentown Central 36-35.
Catasauqua took the second game of the day over Hamburg, 23-19. Javaeha Lafond accounted for a crucial five-point swing in crunch time to deliver the win.
