ALLENTOWN, Pa. — People gathered in Allentown Sunday afternoon to celebrate Indian culture and heritage.
The ninth annual India Heritage Day was held at the city’s Arts Park.
There were live cultural performances, handmade art, and activities for kids.
People also learned Indian dancing, and chowed down on Indian cuisine.
“Our Lehigh Valley is so accepting of beauty, of art, and culture from different creations,” said Vindya Raghavachari, Executive Director of Saara Arts. “It’s very heartwarming to know that people are interested in learning about the beauty of India.”
This year’s theme was “Weaving Cultures Together.”
