The USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards for 2026 recently recognized a Pennsylvania cake shop as one of the best in the nation.
The June 17 report, “Best Cake Shop (2026),” named Ady Cakes in West Reading the No. 8 best in the U.S.
USA Today lauded Ady Cakes for its made-from-scratch buttercream and creative flavor combinations.
“Custom designs range from elegantly minimalist to sculptural showstoppers,” the USA Today analysis read.
This isn’t the first major recognition earned by Ady Cakes — owner Ady Abreu Miriello won a 2012 episode of the popular Food Network competition show Cupcake Wars. The episode was themed for a Renaissance Faire event, and Abreu Miriello won $10,000 for her first-place finish.
Ady Cakes offers ready-to-go cakes, custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, French macarons, sugar cookies and stuffed cookies.

Custom cake pricing typically ranges from $8.50 to $15 per serving. Signature cakes generally range from $6.50 to $9.50 per serving, depending on the design.
The Centre Daily Times has contacted staff with Ady Cakes for comment about the USA Today recognition.

Ady Cakes is located at 631 Penn Ave. in West Reading, Pa.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The business is closed Sundays and Mondays.
