BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – Service Electric outages continue to affect customers in Berks County who face internet, television, and phone service disruptions.
Numerous customers have expressed frustration to 69 News, sharing they have been out of service for a prolonged period without receiving a reason for the outage.
On Monday morning, Service Electric commented on the matter on social media, stating that restoration efforts continue, with significant progress being made.
“SECV will provide credits to affected customers; however, our current focus remains on restoring service to all affected customers,” says the company.
SECV says they appreciate customers’ patience and apologize for any issues the outage has caused. The company shared advice on how to ensure your equipment reconnects once the issue is solved.
“If your equipment is currently powered on, please leave it connected. Do not unplug or reset your modem or other service equipment unless specifically instructed to do so. Keeping your equipment powered on will help ensure it can reconnect,” says the company on social media.
A SECV company representative told 69 News they are working hard to fix the issue, and they will continue to provide updates on their website and Facebook.
The cause of the outages remains unknown, with no reinstatement timeline being shared at the moment.
