The Pirates announced two more 2026 draft signings ahead of Monday’s deadline, upping their total to 18 of 21 total selections.
RHP Rohan Lettow, San Diego State (12th Round)
Lettow was a first-team All-Mountain West selection after going 6-1 with a 3.79 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 78.1 innings across 16 appearances/15 starts during his junior season.
The 21-year-old pitched in the New England College Baseball League last summer and went 4-0 with a 1.72 ERA in 11 relief appearances. He recorded a pair of saves, allowed only five hits in 16.2 innings, walked three and struck out 26.
RHP Damarcus Rideout-Carter, Canada (High School) (14th Round)
In addition to having the “best name in the draft,” as stated by assistant general manager Kevan Graves, Rideout-Carter was considered Baseball America’s 478th overall draft prospect in this year’s class. The 18-year-old competed for the Canadian Junior National Team and pitched against the DSL Marlins and the Blue Jays in extended spring training.
The Pirates were unable to sign three of their 2026 draft picks: RHP Grant Govel (USC, 16th round), OF Malachi Washington (High School, 18th round), OF Andrew Duncan (Wright State, 19th round).
