SCRANTON — Pennsylvania American Water completed repairs on a 24-inch water main in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue, Alana Roberts, external affairs manager, said Tuesday morning.
The water main broke Monday morning, causing disruptions for city businesses and residents. Another water main break occurred July 16 near North Washington Avenue and Mulberry Street.
Customers may experience low water pressure and temporary discoloration as service is restored, Roberts said.
A boil water advisory remains in effect as required water testing is completed. The road remains closed while crews complete restoration work, Roberts said.
All Lackawanna County buildings affected by Monday’s water main break will reopen at 11 a.m. Tuesday, said Joseph A. D’Arienzo, Lackawanna County Communications Director.
