Charlene Ann (Budwash) Devine
OBITUARY
Charlene Ann (Budwash) Devine, 70, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on July 24, 2026, in her residence.
She was the beloved wife of Kerry Patrick Devine, with whom she joyfully celebrated 50 years of marriage. They were married on March 20, 1976.
Born on March 12, 1956, at Reading Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Fern G. (Hoffman) Budwash.
Charlene was a 1974 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
She was employed in the shipping department at Dimensions, Reading, for eight years. She later worked for eight years as a housekeeper and sewing room operator at St. Michael’s Convent in Hyde Park. Charlene concluded her career as a housekeeper at EnerSys in Bern Township, where she worked for ten years before retiring in 2024.
Charlene enjoyed diamond painting and cherished spending time with her family and her pets.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, David P. Devine, husband of Jacqueline D. (Aguiar) Devine, of Muhlenberg Township. She was predeceased by her daughter, Melanie Ann (Devine) Feaster (1978–2022).
Charlene was the proud grandmother of Kennedy A. Clevenger, Jacob X. Devine, and Taylor A. Devine.
She is also survived by three siblings: Ronald Lee Budwash, Terry Budwash, and Donna M. Budwash. In addition to her parents and daughter, she was predeceased by three siblings: Richard C. Budwash, Janet E. Rauenzahn, and Robert J. Budwash.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
