Pitt announces non-conference basketball schedule
The Panthers will play 14 non-conference games, including 9 in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH —
College basketball season is right around the corner. Expectations are high at Pitt following an offseason of change in the men’s basketball program.
Head coach Jeff Capel returns, but he will have 13 new players on the roster: 11 transfers and two freshmen.

The first chance to see the new-look Panthers comes Oct. 17, when Pitt will play an exhibition game on the road against Providence.
After that, Pitt has 14 non-conference games on the schedule, headlined by a neutral-site contest against Penn State in Philadelphia and the Backyard Basketball Classic against West Virginia at PPG Paints Arena.

Pitt will also play an 18-game ACC schedule, which will be announced in September.
