Toys R Us, which closed its retail locations nationwide amid bankruptcy in 2018, will soon open a new store in the Lehigh Valley.
The store will open in September at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township, a mall representative confirmed, in the upper level near OFFLINE by Aerie. It will operate during the mall’s normal hours through next summer “for now.”
It will be a standalone store, the mall representative added, distinct from the pop-up selection at the mall’s Macy’s.
A Toys R Us store used to operate nearby on Grape Street, but it closed with the rest of the chain’s locations in the United States in 2018 after operating under bankruptcy protection.
