SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – An expansive, multi-level children’s play facility invites the community to celebrate its grand opening with raffles, face painting, balloon twisting, costumed characters, refreshments and more.
Star Park Indoor Playground & Party, an indoor playground for children, will hold its grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 3300 Lehigh St. in Salisbury Township.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10:45 a.m.
Other festivities will include free admission, free face painting, complimentary snacks and refreshments (while supplies last), a live magic show (11 a.m. to noon), balloon twister (noon to 1 p.m.), costumed characters, photo opportunities and a grand opening raffle giveaway.
The new Star Park location will occupy an updated South Mall space that previously housed other businesses, including a Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley ReStore location and seasonal Spirit Halloween store.
The new Star Park facility spans roughly 30,000 square feet and represents a relocation of a former Star Park location that operated for nearly a year at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall Township.
The move was prompted by a desire for more space, owner Mustafa Kaya told 69 News.
Kaya also operates two other Star Park locations at the Franklin Mall in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
The playgrounds feature expansive, interactive play areas where children (ages 12 and under) can climb, play, explore and use their imaginations in clean, bright and colorful spaces.

At the South Mall, Star Park features a multi-level play structure, featuring multiple types of sliding boards, climbing apparatus, tunnels and swings.
The structure is surrounded by a large ball pit, and children can place the blue, pink, red and white balls into a vertical mechanism, transporting them to an overhead receptacle that can then be opened, dropping the balls to the floor.
Socks must be worn in the playground, which also features a climbing wall, wall-mounted games and ride-on-toys such as a pedal-activated merry-go-round.

There are also inflatable bounce houses and an interactive area, featuring washable stones, where kids can dig and participate in other activities.
“Our playgrounds bring joy to children and their families, and we love to see the kids having fun,” Kaya told 69 News last year.
Two-hour, open play admission to the Lehigh Valley Star Park location is $11.99 for ages 23 months and younger; and $21.99 for ages 2 – 12 years.

One adult receives free admission per child, and additional adult admission is $5.
Punch cards, featuring 10 entries for $149 (ages 2-12 years), offer a more cost-effective option for families with multiple children or families that plan to visit the facility on multiple occasions, Kaya said.
“They can use the punch cards whenever they want,” Kaya said.
There are also private party rooms, as well as a lounge area for parents and guardians to relax while watching their children play.
