Rochester, New York-based Greenlight Networks — which acquired Scranton-based Loop Internet in October — further expanded its service territory in Northeast Pennsylvania through the purchase of Reading-based FastBridge Fiber.

The FastBridge purchase brings Greenlight’s services to 65,000 additional households in areas including Hazleton, Berks County, Bloomsburg, Danville, Williamsport and Erie, officials said.

Greenlight first announced its presence in the region in April 2025, offering service in Dickson City, officials said.

Coinciding with the purchase of Loop, Greenlight established the company’s first in-state operations hub in Scranton and expanded its reach into Wilkes-Barre, Mountain Top and Kingston, among other areas, officials said.

Greenlight Networks officials held a ribbon cutting for the Scranton office, 104 Wyoming Ave., on July 23.

The Loop acquisition added nearly 36,000 potential customers to Greenlight’s footprint, officials said. The company plans to offer service to more than 30,000 additional customers through the rest of 2026.

Greenlight currently serves more than 320,000 homes and small businesses across New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland, officials added.

Greenlight officials said the company, founded in 2011, boasts download speeds of up to 8 gigabytes per second for residential and small-business customers.

Greenlight also announced plans in April to extend its network services into Lehigh Valley.
