Representatives from the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club, President Anna Elmir and Scholarship Chair Cindy Mitchell, attended the Pittston Area Awards Night Program in June 2026.
Paige Bittman and Jacob Ivey, Pittston Area High School graduates, were recipients of $1,000 scholarships. The Wyoming Valley Women’s Club awards scholarships annually to various local high school students.
Each year, the Wyoming Valley Women’s Club holds its major fundraiser, which is a luncheon/fashion show. All funds raised from the fashion show are used for scholarships for local high school students who are college-bound.
Paige Bittman will be attending Clemson University and Jacob Ivey will be attending Misericordia University in the fall.
“Congratulations Paige and Jacob and good luck with your future endeavors,” the club members wrote.
