Anthony M. Maglioli
OBITUARY
Anthony M. Maglioli, 72, of Pringle, died Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Wilkes-Barre Allied Services Hospice Center. His wife of 49 years is the former Antoinette Tunis.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Biagio and Florence Grippo Maglioli. He graduated from Central High School in Scranton, Class of 1971. Anthony then attended Penn State University, where he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
He was employed at Coon Industries as Chief Engineer, working on projects for Penn Dot and PA Turnpike and estimating costs of highway and bridge projects for 21 years. He then went on to work for American Asphalt for the next 9 years as Chief Estimator. He then finally retired in 2017 after working as Lead Estimator for H&K Group for 12 years. Anthony was also a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to spend time going on vacations with his family, and especially his grandchildren. Sunday dinners and Christmas Eve at his house were some of his favorite times of the year, spending them with his loving family.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his sons Mark and Anthony. He was a member of the Pennwood Sportsmen Club, where he was president for a few years.
The Maglioli family would like to give thanks to doctors, nurses and their staff who helped care for him.
Surviving are daughter Tracy and husband Michael Tomasura of Mountain Top; son Mark and wife Lakota Maglioli, and son Anthony Maglioli, all of Pringle; grandchildren Michael, Tommy, and Luke Tomasura, and Memphis Maglioli; his brother Paul and wife Denise of Scranton; sister Mina Siciliano and husband Tony of Old Forge;. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Enkulenko and her George Enkulenko.
The funeral will be conducted on Saturday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 208 Smith St., Dunmore. Entombment Cathedral Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects Friday from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.
