ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Individuals seeking top-notch care and products for their pooches and other furry friends will soon have a new spot to check out in Lehigh County.
Paws & Claws Boutique, offering pet grooming, supplies and food, is set to open 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at 1382 Hanover Ave. in Allentown, owner Eahab Barkil told 69 News.

Customers will be able to shop a wide array of dog and cat food and treats, including premium and nutritious selections from popular brands like Fromm, Open Farm and Purina, along with accessories such as beds, toys, leashes and harnesses.
There also will be cat and dog brushes, shampoo and other pet care items.
The business is a family affair, with Barkil’s wife, Dima, and daughter, Lara, assisting with operations.
The Barkils are animal lovers, with two dogs and one cat of their own, and they’re looking forward to helping other local families care for their pets.
“For the soft opening, we want to hear feedback from the community,” Laura said. “If there are certain items that they would like, we will do our best to carry them.”
A variety of grooming services will include bath and brush, lion cuts, deshedding treatments, dematting treatments, teeth cleaning, nail trims and full grooms (includes bath with premium shampoo and conditioner, blow dry, thorough brush-out, breed specific or customized haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning and an optional finishing spritz of pet-safe cologne).
The business’ mission is “to provide exceptional customer service, expert pet care, and a welcoming shopping experience where every customer and every pet feels valued.”

Paws & Claws will operate 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
The boutique occupies a renovated space between Mariner Finance and the newly opened Valley Fresh Marketplace in the Allentown Commons.
