A Swoyersville man was killed in a two-vehicle crash that took place in Wyoming Borough on Thursday afternoon, according to Wyoming Area Regional Police.
The crash took place around 2 p.m., when a pickup that was pulling out of the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 913 Wyoming Ave. collided with a motorcycle that had been traveling northbound, Police Chief Michael Turner said.
The motorcyclist, Nicholas Rosenbaum, 35, of Swoyersville, was mortally injured and died after being rushed to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Twp., he said.
Investigators were working to review surveillance footage and called in a state police accident reconstruction unit for assistance, he said.
The Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office was also assisting in the investigation.
No charges had been filed as of Friday.
