A new signature drink is generating buzz in downtown Erie after Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe officially launched the “Michaux” Friday morning, an exclusive iced coffee created in collaboration with local content creator Aaron Michaux.
The mystery-flavored beverage made an immediate impact, with the shop selling 10 cups within the first hour following its 8 a.m. debut. Customers lined up to be among the first to try the limited-time drink, which combines a unique flavor profile with a charitable mission.
In addition to offering a new menu item, the partnership is helping support a good cause. Two percent of every Michaux sold will be donated to Make-A-Wish, helping grant wishes for children living with critical illnesses.
The Michaux will be available through the end of August, giving customers several weeks to sample the exclusive creation while contributing to the fundraising effort.
According to Ye Ole Sweet Shoppe, this marks the first iced coffee collaboration of its kind for the business. Owners say the successful launch could pave the way for similar specialty drinks and partnerships in the future.
