Erie County Health Needs Assessment.png

For the first time since 2018, the Erie County Health Department has published an Erie County Community Health Needs Assessment.

This assessment reports data collected concerning demographics, maternal and infant health, infectious and chronic diseases, and mortality

It’s designed to provide information on the health of the community for both residents and leaders.

Leaders plan to use the data in decision-making in setting priorities to improve the overall health of Erie County.

Three priorities include chronic disease and behavior change, like obesity in children and adults; early detection, prevention, and control of diseases, like breast and colon cancers.

Data for this publication were collected from 800 people in Erie County through a survey and focus groups.
