The countdown is on for CelebrateErie, the annual festival that transforms downtown Erie into a weekend-long celebration of the city’s culture, music and local businesses.
This year’s event runs Friday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 16, and organizers said visitors can expect some exciting changes to the festival layout.

“We have made a lot of changes. The stage and the Chalk Walk have been flipped. The shopping district has a new concept to it. But we also have three really great headliners,” Hunter Lytle, the Executive Director of CAFE said.
The 2026 festival will feature performances by Arrested Development, Plain White T’s, and Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band, giving attendees a mix of hip-hop, pop-rock and classic surf rock throughout the weekend.
In addition to the national acts, festivalgoers can enjoy local vendors, artists, food, family-friendly activities and entertainment that showcase the best of Erie. Organizers encourage attendees to plan ahead and come ready to experience the updated festival layout and attractions.
