Make a Difference Monday: Build a bond with police, first responders and the community | Make A Difference Monday

If you’re not familiar, on the first Tuesday of August, communities all around the U.S. host events for National Night Out.

The goal is to build relationships between police, first responders and their communities.

The project actually began right here in Pennsylvania in the 1980’s.

Near us, Salisbury PD is hosting their event at Salisbury Middle School with a med-evac tour, dunk tank and a K-9 demonstration.

At City Park in Reading, police will have live music, games and plenty of food and vendors.

Nazareth will be showing off their drone unit and more at Nazareth Boro Park.

And in Upper Macungie, first responders there will have rides and games, a car show and even visits from cows and goats.

There’s plenty of other events happening all around the region.
