Point State Park fountain temporarily out of service for algal bloom cleaning
PITTSBURGH —
The fountain at Point State Park will be temporarily out of service for roughly two weeks, officials said in a post on Monday.

In a post on Facebook, officials said the fountain will be temporarily out of operation to complete a thorough cleaning following an algal bloom.
The process is expected to take two weeks and will require the fountain to be drained and power washed.
“This maintenance is necessary to restore the fountain and support its continued operation. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience,” the post said.
An update will be given when the fountain is back in operation.
