Winds with gusts up to 50 mph are possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning in the Lehigh Valley.

The region will be under a wind advisory from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said strong winds will arrive behind a cold front and showers. Damage to trees and utilities are possible.

Nearby Berks, Bucks and Montgomery counties will be under a wind advisory as well.

Aside from a slight chance of showers, Thursday should be clear. Rain is expected Friday night.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Light south wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.

Sunday: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy.
