A South Whitehall Township man died Monday of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash several days earlier in Allentown, the Lehigh County coroner’s office said.
Jose A. Cardona, 26, was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. His cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, and the manner of death is accidental, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.
Cardona was riding a motorcycle that lost control and crashed around 8:20 p.m. Friday near North Bradford and East Allen streets. Cardona, who was wearing a helmet, hit his head on the ground in the crash.
The Lehigh County coroner’s office and Allentown Police Department are investigating the incident.
