BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites (HBMS) is taking the first step in improving the city for visitors.

Officials announced a major tourism plan to create what they call a world-class visitor experience.

Researchers will examine how tourist-related improvements could increase revenue for the city.

The study covers 20 acres of land and 20 historic buildings.

“We need to find a way to improve the visitor experience near-term and long-term… and also use that revenue to help us maintain what we have and improve the experience.”

improvements could include better parking, walking paths, signage and a centralized welcome location.
