More residents and businesses are gaining access to Comcast services as the company continues its expansion in eastern Pennsylvania.
Comcast said that over the past couple of months more than 6,400 residents and businesses in Berks and Chester counties have gained access to internet, mobile, entertainment and security services from Xfinity and Comcast Business. That includes 1,200 in Union and Caernarvon townships in Berks, and 5,200 in East Nottingham Township and Oxford in Chester County.
With the recently completed construction, Union and Caernarvon townships join more than 16,000 additional homes and businesses in Amity, Exeter and South Heidelberg townships, and Birdsboro and St. Lawrence in Berks that are accessing Xfinity services as part of previous expansions there, the company said in a release.
In Chester County, East Nottingham Township and Oxford join homes and businesses in Honey Brook and Elverson with access to Comcast services. Construction also is underway in Lower Oxford and West Nottingham townships.
In addition, Comcast is partnering with the commonwealth to reach unserved areas in Chester County — including Highland, Penn, Upper Oxford, West Fallowfield and West Sadsbury townships — through the Broadband Infrastructure Program. In 2024, Comcast was awarded $61 million by Pennsylvania to bring its residential and commercial services to more parts of 13 counties.

These investments are helping build a stronger digital future for communities across eastern Pennsylvania.”
In the Lehigh Valley, Comcast has completed construction in Freemansburg, extending service availability to more than 1,200 homes and businesses. And in Lehigh County, construction in Upper Saucon Township is now more than 50% complete, and will bring services to nearly 7,000 homes and businesses, according to the release.
Residents can visit Xfinity.com/mytown and enter their address for more details on service availability and to receive updates on construction progress. New addresses will continue to become serviceable on a rolling basis as work progresses.
The recent milestones represent Comcast’s ongoing commitment to strengthening connectivity across eastern Pennsylvania and ensuring more residents and businesses have access to reliable, high-speed broadband services, the company said in the release.
