Jean B. Dougherty
OBITUARY
Jean B. Dougherty, 89, of Allentown, passed away on July 13, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the loving wife of Robert Dougherty. They were married for 70 years on June 23, 2026. Jean worked in the office at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation until retiring. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late David C. and Eva E. (Keiper) Boose. Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.
Jean volunteered in the First Presbyterian Church Knitting ministry that knitted hats for the first-grade students of Allentown.
Survivors: Husband, Sons: David Dougherty and his wife Sharon of Allentown, William Dougherty and his wife Colleen of Strasburg, PA and Scott Dougherty and his wife Lisa of Bethlehem, 5 Grandchildren: Robert (Alexandria), Liam, Ivana, Greg (Lindsay), and Patrick and a Great-Granddaughter: Sophie.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown 3231 W. Tilghman St. Allentown. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 930 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the Church. Interment: Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements by: J.S.
