Three men charged in Pennsylvania fast food burglaries, police say
Three men have been charged with breaking into multiple fast food restaurants in western Pennsylvania, allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from safes during their spree.
Suspects accused of targeting five restaurants
The suspects, identified as Zacobi Demas, Myron Causey, and Dewitt Ross, are accused of targeting five McDonald’s and Wendy’s locations in the western part of the state.
More than $13,000 allegedly stolen from safes
Investigators said the men smashed drive-thru windows and used power tools to open safes, stealing more than $13,000.
Technology helps police track suspects to Indiana
Castle Shannon police said surveillance cameras and license plate readers helped track the suspects to Indiana.
Police used a spike strip to stop their car and arrested the men, who were found with new equipment that police said indicated they were ready to break into more fast food restaurants.
The three suspects are expected to be brought back to Pennsylvania to face charges.
