Feels like temperatures will soar into the triple digits today. Philadelphia will stay hot and humid with a mix of clouds and sunshine giving way to scattered thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening.
Some storms may produce heavy downpours and localized flooding, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the radar if you have outdoor plans.
The steamy pattern continues into Friday and Saturday, with highs near 90 degrees and additional afternoon and evening thunderstorms developing each day. While there will be plenty of dry hours, any storm that forms could become briefly strong with gusty winds and torrential rainfall.
Hot and steamy conditions will last until next week. We will officially start a heat wave Saturday if temperatures stay in the 90s. We will drop back into the 80s by Wednesday next week.
