The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office has launched a new online platform designed to help residents search and learn about upcoming sheriff’s sales before participating in the official online auction process.
The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Auction Search Platform allows users to search available properties, access educational materials about the sheriff’s sale process and save listings of interest. The platform does not host auctions or accept bids. All official bidding continues through Bid4Assets.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, users can search properties by auction date, address, auction ID, Office of Property Assessment number, ZIP code and other criteria. The platform also includes interactive maps, instructional videos, auction terms and conditions, and homeowner assistance resources related to foreclosure prevention.
Sheriff Rochelle Bilal said the platform is intended to make information about sheriff’s sales easier for the public to access and understand.
“Our commitment has always been to make government more transparent, accessible, and accountable to the people we serve,” said Bilal. “This new Auction Search Platform removes many of the barriers that have traditionally made Sheriff’s Sales difficult to understand.”
The Sheriff’s Office said users must review educational materials and acknowledge certain terms before creating an account on the platform. Throughout the site, users are directed to Bid4Assets to participate in live auctions.
The new platform is part of the Sheriff’s Office’s broader technology modernization efforts, according to the agency.
“Innovation is not just about technology—it’s about creating better public service,” Bilal added.
