Edgewood’s Sprague in 1st at Lake Erie tournament

SANDUSKY, Ohio (KLTV) – Edgewood High alumni Jeff Sprague is sitting in first place after the first day of the Suzuki Marine Stage 7 on Lake Erie.

Sprague has 29 catches for a total of 97 pounds, one ounce. He leads second place by 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

Marshall Hughes of Hemphill is in 13th place with 48 pounds, 5 ounces.

All anglers total will carry over to the second day of competition on Friday. The top 24 will advance to Saturday’s knockout round.

If Sprague can maintain the lead on Friday, he will automatically advance to the championship round on Sunday.
