Just before 1 p.m. Erie Water Works responded to a water main break near the intersection of West 23rd Street and Pittsburgh Avenue in Erie.
When Erie News Now crew arrived the road where the break occurred had sunk into the ground. The cause of the collapse and water main break is still under investigation. The incident has caused some traffic delays, and it has not been reported on when the scene will be cleared.
No injuries were reported and several Erie Water Works crews were stationed at the scene.
