Families and longtime fans of the beloved Fraggle Rock franchise will have the chance to experience the magic live this fall when Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock LIVE arrives at the Warner Theatre on October 14, 2026. Tickets go on sale August 14, at 10 a.m. through the Erie Insurance Arena box office and on the Erie Events website.
The production marks the first-ever live touring stage show based on Jim Henson’s iconic Fraggle Rock universe, bringing fan-favorite characters Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley, and Boober to audiences across North America.
Inspired by the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, the musical adventure follows the Fraggles as they search for the legendary Celebration Stone, a treasured artifact believed to have the power to unite everyone for the greatest party in Fraggle history. Their quest takes them through unexplored caves and new worlds as they work together to recover the stone’s lost pieces and discover lessons about friendship, teamwork, and community.
The live production features newly designed walkaround Fraggle characters, puppet versions of the Doozers, a giant Gorg, and original creature creations crafted by the renowned Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Audiences can also expect beloved songs, imaginative storytelling, and impressive visual effects designed to immerse fans of all ages in the world of Fraggle Rock.
The show is written and directed by John Tartaglia, the Tony Award-nominated actor, puppeteer, writer, and director best known for his work in Broadway’s Avenue Q. Tartaglia also serves as an executive producer, writer, performer, and puppet captain on the Apple TV+ series Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock.
For more than 40 years, Fraggle Rock has captivated generations with its blend of music, humor, and heartfelt messages. The live adaptation aims to continue that tradition, offering a nostalgic experience for adults while introducing a new generation of fans to the colorful underground world created by Jim Henson.
Produced by The Jim Henson Company, the show is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to family entertainment and innovation in puppetry and storytelling. The company is responsible for numerous acclaimed productions including Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, and the Oscar-winning Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.
