Erie residents gathered Thursday evening to raise a glass in honor of beloved furry friends while supporting a meaningful cause during the Erie Humane Society’s sixth annual Bowser’s Brew Bash.
The popular fundraising event brought together animal lovers from across the region for an evening filled with drinks, live music, raffles, and plenty of four-legged companions. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a beverage of their choice while celebrating the lives of animals that have made a lasting impact on the humane society.
This year’s featured beverage, “Sky’s Blind Faith Brew,” was named after a special shelter dog. Several other drinks were also named in honor of dogs that have passed through the Erie Humane Society’s doors, giving attendees a chance to toast the memories of pets that touched countless lives.
The event itself is named after Bowser, a blind dog who captured the hearts of staff, volunteers, and supporters at the Erie Humane Society. His story continues to inspire the annual gathering, which has become a cherished tradition for the organization and its supporters.
Along with food, drinks, entertainment, and fundraising activities, the event provided an opportunity for the community to come together in support of animals in need while meeting some of the shelter’s current furry residents.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Erie Humane Society’s Special Needs Fund, which helps provide care and resources for animals requiring additional medical treatment, rehabilitation, and specialized support.
