The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at a construction site at Tommy Douglas Collegiate and Bethlehem High School in Saskatoon’s Blairmore neighbourhood.
The report came in at 10:32pm. When crews arrived they could see heavy smoke and large flames coming from a construction area attached to the school
Fire command than called for a 2nd Alarm, which brought additional apparatus and firefighters to the scene. Crews went inside to look for fire extension and search for people inside.
The fire has since been extinguished, and a fire investigator is on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
The Greater Saskatoon Catholic schools has since confirmed that portable classrooms were on fire.
