WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — In the midst of a blood shortage crisis, one local organization is doing their part to give back.
The Muslim Association of the Lehigh Valley hosted its annual blood drive.
We spoke to them last night about why it’s so important for the association to host the event.
“This is very natural to us, to serve the humanity, to give back to the community,” said Mahfuzul Khondaker, President of the association. “People come, they donate blood, and they feel so happy and they feel so fulfilled that they have done something.”
If you still want to donate blood but missed Saturday’s drive — there are some more coming up later this month.
