Two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms are expected in the Susquehanna Valley on Monday, prompting the WGAL News 8 Storm Team to declare an Impact Day.

The region is under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather, with damaging wind gusts above 60 mph as the primary threat, along with heavy rain, isolated flash flooding, quarter-size hail and frequent lightning.
The first round is possible from 7 to 11 a.m., bringing scattered storms, downpours and lightning.
A second, potentially stronger round is expected from noon to 9 p.m., especially toward evening.
Storms should fade after sunset, followed by partial clearing and areas of fog.
Temperatures will reach the upper 80s, while dew points in the upper 60s will make conditions feel increasingly humid.
