LEHIGH CO., Pa. – An infant from Coplay has been pronounced dead, and local authorities are currently investigating the cause and circumstances of the death.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4 at approximately 3:35 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center was notified by the Lehigh Valley Hospital regarding the death of an 8-week-old girl from Coplay Borough, according to a release from the coroner’s office.
Officials say the infant was pronounced dead at 2:35 p.m.
Today, radiology and an autopsy were completed at the coronor’s office. The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, according to the release.
Police say the Coplay Borough Police Dept. and the Lehigh County DA Office are also investigating.
