SANDUSKY, Ohio (KLTV/KTRE) – Edgewood’s Jeff Sprague and Hemphill’s Marshall Hughes secured top 10 finishes at Major League Fishing’s Suzuki Marine Stage 7 at Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio.
Sprague finished sixth, while Hughes finished seventh.
Sprague won $24,000 after catching 11 fish for 34 pounds on Sunday. Sprague caught 12 fish for 44 pounds, 11 ounces in the knockout round and a total of 46 fish for 150 pounds, 14 ounces in two days of qualifying.
Hughes won $22,000 after catching 10 fish for 33 pounds, 2 ounces on Sunday. In the knockout round, Hughes caught 12 fish for 44 pounds, 12 ounces, and in the qualifying rounds he caught 26 fish for 84 pounds, 14 ounces.
