LOWER MERION — The Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, along with all other Lower Merion Township stations and the Manoa Fire Company from Haverford Township, responded to a house fire Aug. 6 on the unit block of Booth Lane in the Haverford section of Lower Merion.
First-arriving crews encountered heavy smoke showing from the front entrance of the residence and immediately went to work.
Ardmore firefighters conducted primary searches of the home, positioning ladder truck for operations, and laying a supply line to ensure a reliable water source for the firefighting effort.
The incident was brought under control, and the homeowners were not injured.
