Pittsburgh Marathon to kick off registration for 2027 marathon with block party
Registration for the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon will begin on Aug. 12 at 10 a.m.

Organizers say the weekend from April 30 to May 2 will yet again have record-breaking numbers. They expect 55,000 participants from all 50 states and dozens of countries across all events.
“Every year, thousands of people make the commitment to challenge themselves, improve their health and be part of something bigger than themselves,” said Bob Shooer, interim CEO of P3R. “Whether you’re running your first 5K, walking the half marathon, racing for a personal record or cheering on a loved one, Marathon Weekend is a celebration of movement that brings our community together. We can’t wait to welcome participants from Pittsburgh and around the world back to our streets next spring.”

P3R will once again be hosting a Launch Day Block Party on Aug. 12. The party will start at 5:30 p.m. at Mike’s Beer Bar on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
