The third annual “Bite Nite for Sonny” in Dunmore raises funds in memory of Sonny Crotti and supports classmate Reagan Kearney in her fight against cancer.
DUNMORE, Pa. — A tasty event in Dunmore honors the memory of a teenager who passed away from brain cancer.
The third annual “Bite Nite for Sonny” will take place Tuesday, August 11, at the Dunmore Little League fields from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The evening features wing bites, a lemonade stand, a book sale, a bake sale, and live music performed by several of Sonny’s former classmates.
Sonny Crotti lost his battle with brain cancer in 2024 at age 16, while a sophomore at Dunmore High School.
The annual gathering raises money for a scholarship established in Sonny’s name. This year, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit one of Sonny’s classmates, Reagan Kearney, who is currently battling stage four Ewing sarcoma.
