BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A Bethlehem man who shot a woman in the city learned his sentence Monday.
Allen Jahmell Grimes, 20, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in state prison, followed by five years of state probation, the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
The DA’s office said Grimes pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault.
On February 28, 2024, Bethlehem Police responded to a report of a shooting at the 400 block of Cherokee Street, the DA’s office said.
The DA’s office said officers found a male and a female victim at the scene.
The woman sustained a gunshot wound to the neck and was immediately brought to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment, according to the DA’s office.
