A Phillipsburg man died Sunday night in a motorcycle crash in Northampton County.
Nathan Giamoni, 48, was riding south about 7 p.m. on South Delaware Drive in Williams Township when he lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle, according to a state police news release.
The motorcycle slid into the northbound lane and was hit by an SUV traveling north, the release states. Both the motorcycle and the SUV caught fire and stopped in the northbound lane. Giamoni was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver of the SUV, a 57-year-old East Bangor man, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
State police are investigating the crash.
