Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an animal cruelty case after five deceased cats were discovered along the edge of a parking lot in Summit Township.
According to a public information release from the PSP Erie Patrol Unit, troopers were notified at approximately 11:37 a.m. on August 10 after employees at the Pilot travel center located at 8035 Perry Highway reported finding the animals.
Investigators said the five cats, described as gray and black in color, had been dumped along the north side of the parking lot area.
Pennsylvania State Police have classified the incident as a cruelty to animals’ investigation and are seeking information from the public. Anyone who may have information related to the case is encouraged to contact the PSP Erie Barracks at (814) 898-1641.
