A Powerball® with Power Play® ticket sold in Erie County is worth $150,000 following the August 10 drawing, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The winning ticket was purchased at Urraro Oil Company, 6355 Sterrettania Road in Fairview. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The Erie County winner was one of two $150,000-winning Powerball with Power Play tickets sold in Pennsylvania for the drawing. The other winning ticket was sold at a Rutter’s location in Westmoreland County.
The winning Erie County ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn (6-37-54-55-64) and the red Powerball number 10. Because the ticket included the Power Play® option, the prize increased from $50,000 to $150,000 after the drawing’s Power Play multiplier of three was selected.
Lottery officials noted that winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Powerball winners in Pennsylvania have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
In addition to the two $150,000 winners, more than 102,200 other Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes in Monday’s drawing. That total included more than 23,400 tickets purchased with Power Play® and more than 12,700 tickets purchased with Double Play®.
Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow. The grand prize rolled over to an estimated $975 million annuity, or $422.3 million cash, for the next drawing on August 12. Lottery officials said the jackpot is currently the eighth largest in Powerball history.
Wednesday’s drawing marks the 44th consecutive drawing in the current jackpot run. The last Powerball jackpot win came on May 2, when two tickets sold in Florida and Texas split a $20 million prize.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials encourage players to check every ticket and sign winning tickets purchased at retailers immediately upon discovery.
