NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – The Nicholasville City Commission approved the first reading of an ordinance concerning e-bikes and e-scooters on Tuesday.
The ordinance would require riders to follow all traffic laws, yield to pedestrians and operate at a reasonable speed.
It would ban the use of e-bikes and e-scooters in parks and on sidewalks.
Use would be limited to children 12 years of age and under.
The ordinance will need a second reading before final approval.
