PALMER TWP., Pa. – The Palmer Township Planning Commission approved a revised minor land development plan involving an Amazon fulfillment center Tuesday night at the municipal building.
The proposal calls for utilizing 235 parking spots allocated for car parking spots and repurposing them into 85 trailer spots at 1610 Van Buren Road. The company has currently 142 parking spots for trailers and the location overall has 1,112 total parking spaces.
Officials with Amazon stated Tuesday night during planning commission review that the company employs 375 individuals on a peak shift.
