A Northampton County winery and vineyard will soon close its tasting room operations.
Black River Farms winery and vineyard will hold its last day of tasting room operations Aug. 30 at 2472 Black River Road in Lower Saucon Township, founders Andy and Kris Warner announced online.
They said they are retiring from the wine and spirit business, but will continue to own and manage the Black River Farms property.
“Over the past 17 years, our garden/vineyard hobby has evolved into a business far greater than we could have imagined,” the announcement said. “We have been blessed to spend this time surrounded by beautiful grapevines, flowers, vegetables, and wildlife, but, more importantly, by an amazing Team and guests that have become our BRF Family. Your support and loyalty over the years has meant the world to us, and we are grateful for the experience of providing service to our community. Your visits have filled our days with such joy!”
The Warners founded the vineyard in 2009. The announcement follows the closure of Black River Wine Bar last September at the Trolley Barn Public Market in Quakertown.
